Job Posting Workflow for Clerical & Technical Positions

  1. Initiate requisition (click here for a requisition form)
  2. Job descriptions (listing essential functions of the position) should be forwarded to the Human Resources Representative via e-mail
  3. Human Resources Representative reviews description; any changes are made at this point in consultation with the supervisor
  4. Human Resource Assistant posts job; job posting will appear in next day job postings
  5. HR Representative creates a search for each position to determine qualified candidates
  6. HR Rep reviews/interviews candidates for a referral/or not to supervisor
  7. Supervisor notifies the HR Assistant of candidates to be scheduled for interviews; Assistant sets up interviews.
  8. Supervisor conducts reference checks (click here for how to conduct reference checks)
  9. Supervisor makes selection and fills out Recommendation form (click here for a recommendation form)
  10. HR Rep receives recommendation form and makes offer and notifies candidates
  11. Job is removed from posting
