Promotion Review Program for Librarians
Schedule for 2000/2001

 

The following schedule has been established for submission and review of recommendations for promotion in rank for the 2000/2001 academic year.

November 1999: The Promotion Review Committee will be appointed by the University Librarian.

December 1999: Eligible candidates for promotion to LII and LIII are contacted by Library Human Resources.

December 1999: Orientation for candidates and supervisors.

January 10, 2000: Date for submission of Promotion Review Request Form and list of suggested evaluators.

February 11, 2000: Deadline for submission of all required documentation to Library Human Resources, for inclusion in the candidate's Promotion Review file.

February 2000: The Promotion Review Committee will review candidates for promotion to LII.

March 1, 2000: Deadline for submission of letters of evaluation.

March/April 2000: The Promotion Review Committee reviews all submitted requests on promotion.

May 2000: The Promotion Review Committee completes its review of all requests and submits its recommendations on each request to the University Librarian.

May 2000: The University Librarian consults with the appropriate Associate University Librarian prior to making the final decision.

June 2000: Letters will be sent to librarians at the same time as merit salary decision letters are sent.
